Paul Walker, who was one of the stars of the Fast & Furious movie franchise, was a victim of an internet hoax a day before his real demise on Saturday in Southern California, Media.com reported on Saturday.
Walker’s death was reported by paparazzi site TMZ Saturday evening, but his death was already circulating on several social networking sites as early as Friday.
Apparently, Walker’s earlier reported demise was a product of an internet hoax after MediaMass provided a full account of what they claimed then a made-up story of the Fast & Furious star’s death.

“Rumors of the actor’s alleged demise gained traction on Friday after a ‘R.I.P. Paul Walker’ Facebook page attracted nearly one million of ‘likes’. Those who read the ‘About’ page were given a believable account of the American actor’s passing,” MediaMass stated.
“At about 11 a.m. ET on Friday (November 29, 2013), our beloved actor Paul Walker passed away. Paul Walker was born on September 12, 1973 in Glendale. He will be missed but not forgotten.”

The site also indicated that Walkers’ representative confirmed the actor is well and alive.
“On Saturday (November 30) the actor’s reps officially confirmed that Paul Walker is not dead. “He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. He’s still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet,” the representative stated.
